Anastassia

Anastassia Ipomoea Nil|  Varieties Available  |  Ipomoea Nil  |  Splits & Mutations  |

In 2018, a new variety appeared with The Dew at Dawn / Akatsuki no Tsuyu, and what else I wasn’t sure.  For years I called it Akatsuki Blue Blizzard not knowing that lying beneath the beautiful blue blizzard blooms was actually a split petal demono mutant waiting to be found. Anastassia is named in honor of the JMG Lover who found the mutation in 2023 and took a most beautiful photo of the bloom.  I also found a plant growing with the mutation, but they never produced seeds, leading me to believe it is demono.  The variation of patterns, the streaks, the solid blooms, and the split petals with the white picotee edge come together to make this variety a floral divinity!
